Healthy Schools Partnership Event 2024

Healthy Schools Partnership Event 2024

Why Attend?

The event is for teaching staff, where you can learn more about how the Healthy Schools website can support your learners, from Early Level all the way through to Senior phase.

If you have been to one of these events before then you will know the quality and quantity of partners you will meet.
HGIOS4 says this about partnership-working and collaborative activity:

Meeting the wide-ranging needs of all children, young people and their families is the heart of what makes an excellent school. Schools cannot achieve this by themselves. You will have a range of partners such as the third sector, youth workers, community learning and development staff, colleges, universities and employers who work with you to deliver learning pathways to meet the needs of all children and young people.

This year these are the HWB topics being covered:

  • Vaping within ASN context
  • Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland Schools Award progress report
  • Inclusive language guide

Meet with local partners:

Meet with local partners who provide support and resources for key topics relevant to children and young people.

Meet up with partners covering these topics:

SAMH, NLC, Mental Health resources, Solihull training, Poverty Action, NHS training for teaching staff to access, SLC work on alcohol, RSHP work on delivering contraception with P7 learners, drug education and practical food education with farming community.
